A good web browser is essential if you wish to surf the web comfortably. One of the most popular web browsers on the market is Mozilla Firefox, which is available for multiple platforms, including Mac OS X. It offers a high browsing speed, as well as many other features, which make web browsing a pleasant and convenient experience. Its flexible plug-ins manager, built-in synchronization functions or its enhanced security and privacy capabilities are just a few examples. Also, the browser's options are very easy to understand, so even beginners can start exploring their favorite websites, without any kind of difficulties.

Firefox is among the first web browsers which adopted a tabbed user interface. Each tab can be moved to a different position and you can also rip them from the interface, along with their corresponding pages, to create a new browser window. Besides its address bar, you can also find a search bar, which can be used to search for contents with Google, Yahoo, Bing, Wikipedia or user-defined search engines. The Home page displays a Google search field, as well as options for accessing bookmarks, browsing history, add-ons, the browser's general settings and more.

You can find a quick dial each time you create a new tab. Besides displaying recently visited websites on the quick dial, Firefox allows you to add your own sites manually, by dragging and dropping bookmarks over blank tiles. Websites can be bookmarked instantly, with a single click. Additionally, you can organize them in folders and sub-folders and place them on a bookmarks bar, which can be made visible on the user interface at any time.

The web browser's efficient add-ons manager is a feature which you will definitely enjoy. It presents imported extensions, skins, plug-ins and miscellaneous services on different pages, on the same tab, on which you can also explore new add-ons. You can install new add-ons in just a few seconds, without restarting the browser. It takes a single click to enable or disable installed add-ons and some of them come with various configurations options.

Pros

Firefox offers a faster browsing speed and many useful features. You can send your bookmarks to the quick dial page, to create your own shortcuts. Also, add-ons can be installed and managed without any effort.

Cons

Firefox's Mac version doesn't come with certain tools which can be found in the Windows version. If you want a fast and comfortable web browsing experience, then Mozilla Firefox is exactly what you need.
